Before joining MPGQS as a MEP Quantity Surveyor, Maryam had already gained many years’ experience working within the construction industry on a number of large prestigious high rise M&E residential fit-outs, new builds, refurbs and rail construction. Maryam started out within the M&E Quality Assurance team, ensuring ISO 9001 compliance. She had also worked as M&E Technical Author and Coordinator before concentrating on the commercial aspect of M&E as a Quantity Surveyor. Working for the Department for Works and pension Maryam was part of the team who successfully delivered the Universal Credit Project.
With a Postgraduate degree in Business Administration and BA in Business Studies and Accounting, Maryam is currently working towards her MSc in Real Estate Finance and Investment and is a Student member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). She has a Certificate in ADR Arbitration – CIARB and has good understanding of the NEC contracts with certificate in Principles of NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contract and is also Certified in International Use of NEC and Comparison to FIDIC, and Prince 2 Foundations Certified.
Maryam has considerable experience in Finance and Accounting and a deep understanding in Project Quantity Surveying. Responsibilities have included accounts administration, forecasting labour and material costs, quotation valuation, performance review, Interim and Final account measurement, general cost control and change control and preparing, negotiating and analysing costs for tenders and contracts.
