Our Role
Officially called the Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Mosque, it is also known as the Abu Dhabi Grand Mosque. It is one of the biggest mosques in the world with a total capacity of more than 40,000 worshippers.
There are 3 worship halls; the main hall can accommodate over 7,000 worshippers and the other 2 smaller halls can hold over 1,500. The carpet in the main hall is considered to be the largest carpet in the world.
The reinforced concrete shell covers an area of more than 22,000 sq metres, with some 210,000 cubit metres of concrete and 33,000 tonnes of steel reinforcement used in its construction. The mosque has four minarets, each 115 metres (377 feet) high and has a 70 metre (229 feet) high dome.
